Equipment Positioning and Functions
This equipment serves as the core automated unloading device in the transformer fin production line, primarily used to automatically unload finished fins from the conveyor line and precisely insert them into the comb rack (aggregate rack) of the assembly machine. It achieves orderly stacking and temporary storage of fins, providing efficient integration for subsequent assembly processes. The equipment adopts a gantry structure and multi-mechanism collaborative control, featuring high automation, precise positioning, and quick model changeover.

Core Structure and Working Principle
Gantry and Carriage System
Gantry Frame
Constructed with a steel structure spanning both sides of the production line, providing tracks for the carriage and support for the lifting mechanism. It bears a load ≥2000kg to ensure stability during high-speed movement.
Carriage
a. Mounted on the gantry beam rails, driven by a rack-and-pinion system and servo motor, with lateral positioning accuracy ≤±2mm and a maximum speed of 31m/min (approx. 0.52m/s).
b. Integrated with lifting, rotating, and suction devices, it can move precisely along the production line's width (X-axis) to position above the fins.
Lifting and Rotating Devices
Lifting Mechanism
Driven by a hydraulic cylinder with a stroke ≥500mm and adjustable descent speed (0–0.3m/s), ensuring the electromagnet contacts the fin surface smoothly to avoid impact deformation.
Rotating Device
Driven by a hydraulic motor, it enables the suction device to rotate 90°, converting horizontally conveyed fins to a vertical orientation for easy insertion into the comb plates (vertical slots) of the aggregate rack.
Workpiece Suction and Unloading Process
1.Suction Device
Uses an electromagnet with a suction force ≥500N (suitable for fins ≤30kg/piece), with a rubber pad surface to prevent scratches.
2.Automated Process
Detection and Positioning
Fins are conveyed to the lower part of the gantry and stopped by a photoelectric sensor.
01
Adsorption and Lifting
The lifting mechanism descends, the electromagnet adsorbs the fin, and the cylinder lifts it to a safe height.
02
Rotation and Movement
The rotating device drives the fin to rotate 90°, and the carriage moves along the X-axis to position directly above the aggregate rack (positioning error ≤±5mm).
03
Precise Unloading
The lifting mechanism descends to insert the fin into the comb plates of the aggregate rack (slot spacing matches fin width), and the electromagnet releases the workpiece.
04
Reset and Cycle
The mechanism resets, and the carriage returns to the starting position to await the next fin.
05
Dual Aggregate Rack Carriage Design
Series Ground Tracks
Two aggregate rack carriages are installed on ground tracks. When one rack is full (40 pieces), the carriage automatically moves out of the unloading area, while an empty rack moves under the gantry to continue unloading.
Quick Rack Change
Operators can lift off full racks and install empty racks during equipment operation, with rack change time ≤5 minutes to avoid production line downtime.
Equipment Advantages
Efficient Automated Unloading
1.Single equipment can unload ≥80 pieces/hour (calculated at 50 seconds/piece cycle time), fully matching the upstream rolling machine's production rhythm for uninterrupted flow operation.
2.No manual intervention throughout the process reduces labor costs and avoids workpiece deformation or safety incidents caused by manual unloading.
Flexible Model Changeover and Compatibility
1.The spacing of comb plates in the aggregate rack can be adjusted via quick-change modules to adapt to fins with different widths (310–550mm), with model changeover time ≤10 minutes.
2.Supports unloading of extra-long fins ≤4000mm in length, meeting production needs for large transformer fins.
